Man, this really opened up for me on the second listen. Might be on the Rat Saw God level of quality, which, if so, means it'll be one of my favorites of the year.

On my first listen now, great if kinda unassuming album. That quoted line is one of those "so simple, so good" lyrics that I always appreciate.

Love the review! I love a lot of the songs here, but I don't think it matches the same feeling I had when listening to Rat Saw God the first time.
Rat Saw God remains my favorite album of theirs, but I definitely think this is a worthy follow-up
