Pushing the envelope (and splattering it with intestines), Cordyceps and Deliquesce deliver brutal tech and slam of the uniquely leader-ish variety. Defenestrating the book entirely, Azure Emote present an avant-death opera whose lineup boasts a staggering collective of Metallum credits.
If speed is paramount, pick your poison. No Shelter. offer a scathing but accessible hardcore/death metal crossover, Scalp tear through deathgrind-infused powerviolence in under 20 minutes, and the inimitable Sulfuric Cautery spew the most livid, rancid (read: ideal) goregrind. If indica is more your flavor, throw down with Red Brick’s gnarly self-proclaimed “false sludge,” or get slow with Demonsmoke who Nex lovingly say “seem to like Eyehategod.”
With this choice of a selection to weed through you can be sure to fall into the abyss of August with a bang. Or, some sort of loud, disgusting noise anyway. In space, no one can tell you your gutturals are weak.
