this was a fascinating read because i truly dislike most things this band has done haha. i despise everything about elsewhere in particular so reading something positive about it was v interesting! and i'm also p sure i've convinced myself cinematics and duality are worse than they are because of everything that came after (used to dig those albums quite a bit when i was like 15). great writing!!
Thanks Jesper! I will admit to being pretty damn biased towards SIO because of how big they were in shaping my music taste as a kid, but Elsewhere was actually after I fell off the wagon. For me, that album works because it sorta leans back into the snark that some of Cinematics' best songs had, and puts a bit more focus back on the punk rather than the pop
